The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Recreation Manager in all aspects of the Recreation Department. To include, but not limited to the following: planning and execution of the family activities and annual events, assist with corporate group recreational activities and seasonal decorating.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), some college or technical schooling and a minimum of 3 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Hold up to date CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines.
  • Obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals and markings.
  • Use a seat belt.
  • Follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy.
  • Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely.
  • Report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification preferred, or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Recreation Manager in all aspects of the Recreation Department.
  • Plan and execute family activities and annual events.
  • Assist with corporate group recreational activities.
  • Assist with seasonal decorating.
  • Drive a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle, following safe driving practices.
  • Enhance the Guests experience so that each Guest becomes a repeat Guest.
  • Report on important issues concerning children, participants, Members and Guests to the Recreation Manager.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe play and work area.
  • Clock in at the beginning of your shift and clock out at the end of your shift.
  • Conduct tours for groups of areas including Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Cameron and Seagrove.
  • Set up various aspects of group recreation activities, including transportation, demonstrations, reservations, etc.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of holiday activities and weekend activities.
  • Provide new ideas for holiday décor.
  • Help others when the occasion arises.
