Recreation Aide (Per diem)
About The Position
Momentum at South Bay for Nursing and Rehabilitation is urgently seeking a Per Diem Recreation Aide. The ideal candidate must be upbeat, energetic, and have a caring personality. They must be reliable and work effectively as a team player. The role requires someone with an outgoing, warm, and caring personality who can create programs to engage and excite Residents. Dependability, reliability, and the ability to supervise activities and special events for Residents are essential. Creative talents in areas such as art, music, readings, or dance are beneficial. The position demands good listening and communication skills with the ability to follow through. Interest and experience in music are a plus.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Certain certifications may be required
- Physical fitness, ability to walk, dance, stand, lift, or meet other physical demands
- Adaptability and strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent resource management and record-keeping
- Patience and compassion when dealing with others, especially those who are sick, injured, elderly, or from different backgrounds
- Flexibility to work when needed, especially some evenings, weekends and holidays
Nice To Haves
- Two years' experience in recreation in a geriatric setting
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
- Interest and experience in Music
Responsibilities
- Create programs to get Residents involved and excited
- Supervise activities and special events for the Residents
- Engage Residents through creative talents in areas such as art, music, readings, dance, etc.
- Adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
Benefits
- Salary: $24.65 per hour
