About The Position

Crozier House is an initial voluntary 3-to-6-month Residential Recovery Service licensed under the Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Addiction Services. The program partners with agencies and insurance companies to individualize residents’ treatment and obtains federal subsidies for substance use disorders. The Recovery Specialist provides guidance and direction to residents and oversees daily activities to ensure that the program conforms to established policies and procedures. The role supports the day-to-day operation of the program milieu and the culture of recovery, using trauma-informed and gender-informed approaches for the diverse community served. This opening is full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Requirements

CPR-First Aid certification.
Ability to complete or possess Overdose Prevention/Narcan training.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the human services field, with particular knowledge of substance abuse and the residential community model.
Foundational knowledge from introductory courses in substance abuse and drug dependencies.
Understanding of working with individuals within a marginalized community.
A solid foundation in sobriety and active participation in a recovery program outside the work environment.

Responsibilities

Guide and direct Crozier House residents.
Oversee daily activities to ensure conformance with established policies and procedures.
Help ensure and sustain the day-to-day operations of the program milieu.
Support the culture of recovery using trauma-informed and gender-informed approaches.
