PT Recovery Specialist Saturday & Sunday 7:00am - 3:00pm
About The Position
Crozier House is an initial voluntary 3-to-6-month Residential Recovery Service (RRS) licensed under the Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) in Massachusetts. The program partners with other agencies and insurance companies to individualize residents’ treatment and obtain financial assistance through federal subsidies for substance use disorders. The Recovery Specialist provides guidance and direction to Crozier House residents and oversees daily activities to ensure the program conforms to established policies and procedures. The role helps sustain day-to-day program milieu operations and supports a culture of recovery that is trauma- and gender-informed for the diverse community served. This posting is for a part-time position scheduled Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Other shifts, including weekends and overnights, are also available.
Requirements
- CPR-First Aid certification.
- Ability to complete or hold Overdose Prevention/Narcan training.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the human services field, including special knowledge of substance abuse and the residential community model.
- Foundational knowledge from introductory courses in substance abuse and drug dependencies.
- Understanding of working with individuals within a marginal community.
- A solid foundation in sobriety and active participation in a recovery program outside the work environment.
