About The Position
This role is for a Recovery Specialist I (On-Call) at the Mark Reed Evaluation & Treatment Center in McCleary, WA. Telecare is looking for individuals with a passion for helping people, even without prior behavioral health experience, to support adults experiencing mental health crises. The position offers paid training and is described as a great stepping stone into mental health, nursing, social work, or healthcare careers. Recovery Specialists will build skills in de-escalation, crisis support, trauma-informed care, and recovery support while working alongside healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Interest or exposure to helping others (through work, school, family experience, or volunteering)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in caregiving, human services, healthcare, education, peer support, or customer-facing roles
Responsibilities
- Building supportive relationships with individuals we serve
- Assisting with daily activities, groups, and therapeutic programming
- Helping maintain a safe, healing environment
- Supporting people during difficult moments with compassion and teamwork
- Observing, documenting, and communicating with the treatment team
- Learning hands-on skills in behavioral health care
