About The Position

Groups is a leading outpatient provider specializing in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, committed to supporting underserved communities. Since 2014, their local care teams have guided individuals toward recovery through medication, group therapy, and personalized support. The Recovery Operations Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence and ensuring high-quality, member-centered recovery support services. This role oversees multiple sites, supervises the Recovery Support Coordinator team, and is accountable for key performance indicators (KPIs) such as task management, member engagement, retention, census growth, Profit and Loss (P&L) performance, and employee satisfaction. Responsibilities include ensuring adequate office coverage, schedule management, inter-site coordination, and procurement of supplies. The Supervisor partners with the Clinical Supervisor and regional leadership to foster team-based care, optimize workflows, and advance the Groups’ mission.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Social Services, Human Services, Psychology, Business, or related field required (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in operations management, case management, or care coordination
  • State certification or licensure to manage peer support specialists (where applicable)
  • Experience with EHR systems, data reporting, and digital collaboration tools.
  • Must meet all state and job-related pre-employment requirements (fingerprinting, criminal background check, drug testing, CPR/First Aid certification, health screening and/or TB Test may be required depending on state)
  • Ability to travel up to 40-60% within the assigned region (rarely overnight)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • For remote or hybrid roles: access to reliable internet (minimum 50M download / 10M upload) and stable WiFi connection.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a multi-location team of Recovery Support Coordinators to deliver high-quality recovery support and care coordination services.
  • Provide direct supervision, guidance, and performance feedback through regular touch bases, coaching sessions, and evaluations.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and mission-driven team culture.
  • Coach Recovery Support team on managing complex cases, improving communication and team-based care skills.
  • Ensure adherence to Recovery Support workflows, policies, and procedures.
  • Support employee professional development through structured onboarding, goal setting, coaching, and continuous training.
  • Deliver effective onboarding for all new team members.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to company policies, workflows, and compliance standards.
  • Act as a visible leader in the field, providing direct in-person support and mentorship.
  • Drive the implementation of change initiatives across the team.
  • Oversee and optimize day-to-day operations across multiple sites, focusing on efficiency, safety, service delivery, member outcomes, and adherence to workflows and documentation standards.
  • Drive accountability for regional and state-level KPIs, including member engagement, retention, census growth, office-level financials, performance and employee satisfaction.
  • Ensure adequate office coverage, schedule management, and coordination across sites, including procurement of supplies and equipment.
  • Conduct regular quality and compliance audits.
  • Lead and support the launch, decommissioning, or transition of new office locations.
  • Partner with leadership on regional growth initiatives and ensure operational readiness for expansion.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure integrated, member-centered care delivery.
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of Recovery Support Coordinators alongside clinical leadership.
  • Maintain general knowledge of healthcare, insurance, and social service systems in operational regions.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to create and implement actionable data-driven improvement plans.
  • Provide regular performance reports to state and regional leadership, and assist with site audits.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other systems.
  • Partner with state and organization leadership to align operations with organizational goals and implement pilots and process improvements.
  • Serve as a liaison between operational, clinical, and community-based stakeholders.
  • Support and lead special projects, including project management and oversight for the rollout of new initiatives and expansion efforts.
  • Participate in regular communication around openings, relocations, and closures to support strategic planning.
  • Engage in community outreach and education to strengthen partnerships and raise awareness of Groups’ services.
  • Other duties as assigned.
