About The Position

This position supervises residents of the Adult Recovery House, a 24/7 residential facility for patients in early recovery from addiction. The candidate must be free from substance abuse for the last two (2) consecutive years. This role involves a wide range of office and field duties to support the community service and well-being of its members.

Requirements

  • Must be free from substance abuse for the last two (2) consecutive years.
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  • Six (6) months of related experience in a community services organization.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and client interviewing skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of substance use disorder and social services resources.
  • Ability to sit, drive, walk, stand, communicate with other employees and vendors.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate computer hardware systems.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Valid WA Driver License.

Nice To Haves

  • Current certification in First Aid/CPR.
  • Certification as a Certified Peer Specialist by the Washington State Peer Counselor Training Program at the time of appointment or at a time set by the Tribe.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises residents of the Adult Recovery House.
  • Calls in resident prescriptions; monitors and documents resident medications.
  • Performs administrative tasks including answering phones, filing, creating files, making copies, and ordering supplies.
  • Cleans resident rooms as they become vacant.
  • Conducts observed UAs (Urine Analysis).
  • Conducts census reports on all residents and observes security cameras, completing incident reports as needed.
  • Attends mandatory in-services, staff meetings, and online training.
  • Creates a weekly chore list for residents and documents completion.
  • Conducts orientation for new residents.
  • Conducts offsite house checks.
  • Adheres to the NAADAC/Behavioral Health code of ethics.
  • Assists with Clean & Sober Home activities and duties.
  • Attends weekly staff meetings at the Adult Recovery House.
  • Interviews and identifies clients’ transportation or social service assistance needs through telephone calls or home visits.
  • Informs clients of available services and refers to appropriate providers or community resources.
  • Assists clients by filling out forms and advocating or intervening on their behalf.
  • Transports and/or accompanies clients and/or families to obtain medical and/or substance use treatment or other required services.
  • Conducts periodic home visits to monitor client needs.
  • Organizes and participates in community events; attends various committee meetings.
  • Maintains confidential files and records.
  • Maintains the privacy and confidentiality of all protected health information.
  • Executes weekly van inspection and ensures it has fuel and is safe to drive.
  • Facilitates individual and group sessions with a focus on life skills and independent living.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
