About The Position

Monte Nido Houston is a residential treatment program in Conroe, Texas, serving adults seeking treatment for anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, or exercise addiction. Its treatment approach focuses on restoring physiological and nutritional balance, establishing healthy eating and exercise routines, eliminating harmful behaviors, and building motivation and treatment engagement. The program aims to help clients understand their disorder and its effects, and develop an individualized understanding of their recovery needs.

The Recovery Coach supports clients throughout their recovery journey and provides interventions consistent with their treatment plans. This per diem role requires availability for day shifts (6 a.m.–2 p.m.) and evening shifts (2 p.m.–10 p.m.), as well as weekends. The position is onsite in Conroe, Texas.

Requirements

• At least two years of post-high-school education.
• A valid state-issued driver’s license and a safe driving history.
• Good communication and client relations skills.
• Service orientation, flexibility, and the ability to work as a team member.
• Availability for day (6 a.m.–2 p.m.) and evening (2 p.m.–10 p.m.) shifts, with weekends required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a mental or behavioral health setting is highly desired; required in some states.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide clients through their recovery journey.
• Provide support and intervention consistent with each client’s treatment plan.
• Help clients develop healthy and appropriate connections with other clients in the milieu and with the team.
• Assist with food preparation and setup; model and supervise client meals and snacks.
• Participate in therapeutic groups and develop core skills to promote clinical growth.
• Conduct rounds and provide observations.
• Occasionally drive clients off-site for appointments and activities.
