About The Position

The Recovery & Liquidation Specialist plays a critical role in protecting credit union assets by managing post-charge-off and recovery efforts. This role ensures all reimbursement opportunities are pursued, repossession activities are properly handled, and insurance-related processes are accurately administered. Responsibilities include coordinating repossession activity with third-party vendors, filing and monitoring claims, and ensuring that all recovered funds are applied correctly and timely to member accounts. The role also serves as a key contact for collateral protection insurance, assisting members with questions, coverage verification, and refunds.

Requirements

  • Two to five years of similar or related experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive financial matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and workflows efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with collections, recovery, or repossession processes preferred.
