About The Position

The Recovery & Liquidation Specialist plays a critical role in protecting credit union assets by managing post-charge-off and recovery efforts. This role ensures all reimbursement opportunities are pursued, repossession activities are properly handled, and insurance-related processes are accurately administered. Responsibilities include coordinating repossession activity with third-party vendors, filing and monitoring claims, and ensuring that all recovered funds are applied correctly and timely to member accounts. The role also serves as a key contact for collateral protection insurance, assisting members with questions, coverage verification, and refunds.

Requirements

Two to five years of similar or related experience.
High school diploma or GED required.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage sensitive financial matters with professionalism and discretion.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and workflows efficiently.

Experience with collections, recovery, or repossession processes preferred.
