About The Position

The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) aims to promote tribal economic development, self-sufficiency, and strong tribal governments, maintain the integrity of the Indian gaming industry, and ensure Tribes are the primary beneficiaries of their gaming activities. Established by Congress through the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988 (IGRA), the NIGC operates as an independent federal agency within the Department of the Interior (DOI). IGRA's purpose is to support tribal economic development and governance through gaming on Indian Lands, safeguarding tribes as primary beneficiaries, shielding Indian gaming from corruption, and ensuring fair and honest games. The NIGC was created to protect tribal gaming as a revenue source for tribal governance and communities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three (3) years of continuous experience.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in performing the required tasks is mandatory.
  • Selected candidates may undergo a government security investigation and must fulfill eligibility criteria for accessing classified information.
  • US citizenship may be a prerequisite for certain roles.

  • Relevant IT certifications may be substituted for a formal college degree

Responsibilities

  • Perform records management activities according to Federal government privacy and legal requirements.
  • Assist in the development of analyses and reports associated with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Privacy Act (PA) processes.
  • Manage the flow of FOIA and PA correspondence or requests and establish processes to provide prompt responses to requestors in accordance with FOIA policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Perform technical tasks involved in maintaining Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Participate in the development of information management policies and governance of supporting applications on Microsoft 365 and Salesforce platforms.
  • Manage SharePoint sites content and permissions.
  • Create and execute PowerShell scripts to produce reports and perform records management tasks.
  • Compile data for reports, transcribe reports, and maintain indexes.
  • Ensure that all work products are proofread and free of errors, omissions, and inconsistencies.
