CGI Federal, Inc. is seeking a Records Management Specialist to support the National Fraud Enforcement Division of DOJ in Washington, DC. Requirements

  • Experience developing, managing, and overseeing records schedules, and implementing federal records management policies such as the Justice Records Control Schedule (JRCS) and General Records Schedule (GRS).
  • Strong personal computer skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities for reviewing practices, recommending improvements, and maintaining documentation for compliance.
  • Strong personal computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to perform as a member of a team
  • Ability to successfully complete a CGI Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education, Employment, Credit and Driving Records Checks
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Justice Modified Risk Public Trust waiver

Responsibilities

  • Developing, maintaining, and overseeing the Division's records schedule.
  • Implementing both the Justice Records Control Schedule (JRCS) and the General Records Schedule (GRS) to ensure compliance with federal requirements.
  • Regularly train staff in effective and compliant records management practices, ensuring that all team members understand and follow proper procedures for record creation, storage, retrieval, and disposition.
  • Implementing all DOJ policies and guidance related to records management, working closely with leadership and team members to maintain integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Review current practices, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the records management system.
  • Collaborate with IT and administrative teams to ensure secure digital and physical records handling, respond to records requests and audits, and maintain thorough documentation for compliance purposes.
  • This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the Department's standards for records integrity and accessibility.
