Requirements

• Strong foundation in clerical procedures and systems
• Proficiency in word processing, file management, and recordkeeping
• Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Solid grasp of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and composition rules
• Familiarity with key software applications—such as Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Gov QA, and Windows XL
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Must pass a thorough criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Typing comprehensive reports—such as offense reports, affidavits, and complaints
• Preparing thorough defendant folders containing essential documents like arrest reports, rap sheets, and fingerprints
• Engage with the public, providing copies of reports, issuing receipts, and processing payments
• Efficiently managing the flow of incoming visitors to the police department
• Handle daily filing and logging of reports, ensuring accurate documentation and accessibility
• Address telephone inquiries for limited information from both the public and law enforcement agencies
