About The Position

The purpose of this position is to ensure that the overall patient account is billed, reimbursed, posted, and money allocated appropriately to get the balance of the account to a zero balance. The candidate for this role would need to be diverse in all aspects of the revenue cycle as they will understand the complexities of the life cycle of a claim. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in cash posting and/or reconciliation of patient accounts
  • Proficient in Google, Google Docs, with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with NexGen a plus
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Meet deadlines and KPI metric expectations
  • Experience in navigating clearinghouses and insurance portals
  • Proficiency with medical record technology required
  • Able to work a hybrid schedule of 4 days per week in our Nashville office and located within 75 minutes' commuting distance of the office

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with internal teammates, insurance companies or patients for resolution of accounts.
  • Accurately posting insurance and/or patient payments into the billing system.
  • Reconciling accounts to ensure the patient’s account is accurate.
  • Identify account issues and develop strategies to resolve them.
  • Identify and address any challenges that arise during the reconciliation process.
  • Keep track of their caseload and the information they gather during their reviews of accounts.
  • Keep their workspace tidy and organized.
