Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role preferred; student experience in higher education considered.
  • Requires a positive, team-oriented attitude and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use downtime productively.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Customer service experience or aptitude required to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Manages incoming calls, supports administrative staff, and maintains a professional front-facing presence for the hospital, helping ensure the smooth flow of communication and daily operations.
  • Answers and transfers incoming telephone calls promptly, courteously, and professionally.
  • Assists coworkers with preparing documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Windows-based applications.
  • Provides administrative support to the leadership team for a variety of projects and initiatives.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance when interacting with board members, medical staff, visitors, and members of the community.
  • Remains organized and performs duties independently, exercising sound judgment and strong analytical skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
