About The Position

Join our team as a Receptionist and be the welcoming first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service while supporting daily administrative and front‑desk operations. Cumberland Hall Hospital is a 97 bed, licensed, acute psychiatric hospital located in beautiful Hopkinsville, KY. Cumberland Hall features individual units for youth, adults and active-duty military, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 1500 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Cumberland Hall Hospital.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

Associates or Bachelors Degree in a human service related field preferred.
Experience working with diverse populations in a professional, customer‑facing or group setting preferred, particularly within healthcare, behavioral health, or human services environments.
Prior experience supporting individuals with mental health or developmental needs is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a welcoming and secure front‑desk environment.
Answer incoming calls promptly, route calls appropriately, and process incoming and outgoing mail while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Support patient intake by initiating paperwork, collecting and copying identification and insurance information, and completing required safety checks.
Maintain organization and inventory of reception and lobby areas, including office supplies, patient refreshments, and daily operational materials.
Perform clerical and administrative duties such as preparing patient charts, updating logs, distributing daily census reports, and communicating admission and discharge information.
