About The Position

Established in 1920, Brook Hollow Golf Club is one of Dallas’ most historic and exclusive private clubs, offering world-class facilities including a renovated golf course, a sports complex, and a famed ballroom. We are a high-end service golf operation seeking a highly organized and personable individual to join our team as a receptionist. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all members, guests, and visitors, responsible for managing the front desk while ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere. This role supports our high-profile membership, guests, and personnel of the Club.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a receptionist or administrative role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Independent thinker, able to handle high-stress situations in a professional manner.
  • Able to work well with other departments.
  • Excellent phone skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, phone systems, and other office equipment.
  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Self-starter that requires no supervision.
  • Must have open availability.
  • Open availability includes weekends and holidays.
  • Background check required.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality, Food & Beverage & customer service experience is an asset.
  • Experience and knowledge of the golf industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome all members, visitors, guests, and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean and presentable at all times.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Maintain accurate records and files.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintain online and phone reservations made through the company reservation portal.
  • Provide schedule and other Club information to Members and guests.
  • Collect, sort, and distribute outgoing/incoming mail to include overnight mail services.
  • Edit and maintain distribution of daily lunch and dinner specials menus.
  • Edit special pricing or requested changes into the database.
  • Be familiar with all house rules regarding reservations.
  • Ensures that the Switchboard is never left unattended.
  • Responsible for reporting any phone operation problems to the Engineer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by a Manager.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Assist with member and guest arrival for club functions.
