About The Position

As a Receptionist at State Bank, you will serve as the first point of contact for our customers, creating a welcoming and positive experience from the moment they arrive. You will greet and assist visitors, direct them to the appropriate team members, and ensure their needs are handled efficiently. In addition, you will manage incoming calls by identifying customer needs, routing calls appropriately, and providing helpful information. This role also includes performing a variety of administrative tasks in support of multiple departments, making it essential to be organized, attentive, and customer focused. This position is part-time, 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day, 10am-2pm Monday-Friday.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to successfully pass a credit and background check
  • Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone
  • Friendly, professional, and customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to proactively greet and assist customers, including escorting them within the building
  • Comfortable handling multiple phone lines and directing calls efficiently
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Maintains a professional appearance
  • Organized and dependable, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ months of receptionist or customer-facing experience
  • Experience managing a multi-line phone system
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • Notary Public certification is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and assist customers, both in person and over the phone, creating a positive first impression
  • Manage the main phone line, directing calls efficiently to the appropriate team members
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including pickup, sorting, and internal distribution (some lifting required)
  • Provide notary services, or be willing to obtain a Notary Public certification if needed
  • Support day-to-day clerical and administrative tasks across various departments
  • Send and receive faxes and maintain organized communication records
