About The Position

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an individual to join their team as a Receptionist in Gainesville, FL. This position is responsible for registering blood donors and providing excellent customer service to all LifeSouth visitors. LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. They are committed to meeting the blood supply needs of hospitals and their patients by providing the highest quality blood components and services. With more than 45 donor centers, 55 bloodmobiles and 2,000 blood drives a month, their team is dedicated to making sure the blood is there when you or your family is in need.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Ability to work both independently and as a team member
Ability to organize and complete multiple assignments with precision and quick turnaround
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Ability to follow moderately complex oral and written instructions

Nice To Haves

One to three months of related experience preferred
Experience with records management, business telephone systems, data entry and customer service preferred

Responsibilities

Answer incoming telephone calls and transfer calls to the appropriate extension or relay messages
Collect demographic information from donors and enter data into the computer system according to approved guidelines, print Single Donation Records (SDRs) and log donation information on donor registers
Review donor record status reports and resolve registration discrepancies according to established guidelines
Provide the highest level of customer service towards internal and external customers
Greet donors and visitors and direct them to the appropriate area in the facility
