About The Position

Peoples National Bank of Kewanee is a long-standing, community-focused financial institution serving Central Illinois. We opened our doors on March 1, 1928, and for more than 90 years have proudly served the people of Kewanee and surrounding communities. Over time, we have continued to grow and expand. Today, PNB operates two branches in Kewanee, IL, along with additional branches in Annawan, Bradford, Dwight, Manlius, Reynolds, Sheffield, Seneca, and Tampico, IL. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous administrative or front-desk experience preferred
  • Customer service experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to successfully complete any required background checks or regulatory screenings
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to represent the bank's values professionally
  • Strong ability to multitask, manage front-lobby traffic, and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn general computer and banking applications
  • Must demonstrate consistent and reliable physical attendance; the ability to strictly adhere to scheduled bank hours is an essential function of this role

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and welcoming customers warmly, providing an exceptional level of hospitality as they enter the bank
  • Efficiently answering, screening, and directing incoming phone calls to the appropriate department or individual
  • Coordinating and managing appointments between customers and bank representatives
  • Assist customers with basic banking transactions, including deposits and withdrawals, while maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to bank policies
  • Maintaining a foundational understanding of bank products and services to accurately assist with customer inquiries
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
  • Performing other administrative duties as assigned by management to support daily bank operations
