About The Position

Enstrom Candies is looking for a friendly, professional, and dependable Seasonal Receptionist to join our team during our busy holiday season. As the first point of contact for Enstrom Candies, the Receptionist plays an important role in creating a welcoming experience for our customers, visitors, vendors, and employees. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable managing multiple tasks, and can remain organized and professional in a fast-paced environment. The Receptionist at Enstrom Candies performs day-to-day clerical, secretarial and administrative duties to answer the telephone, receive the public, provide assistance and maintain records.

Requirements

Previous receptionist, switchboard, customer service, or office experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional and friendly telephone etiquette.
Strong grammar, spelling, and attention to detail.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and other office applications.
Ability to learn and confidently operate a multi-line telephone system.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Good judgment and the ability to make decisions within established company guidelines.
Patience and a positive attitude when handling repetitive telephone and administrative tasks.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Reliable attendance, punctuality, dependability, and a cooperative attitude.
A professional appearance and commitment to maintaining a clean, polished, customer-facing environment.
High school diploma or GED required
Must be 18+ and able to pass a background check
Sit and work at a computer and telephone for extended periods.
Frequently stand and walk throughout the workday.
See, hear, and communicate effectively with customers, employees, and visitors.
Use hands to operate office equipment, including computers, telephones, printers, scanners, copiers, and postage equipment.
Reach with hands and arms.
Lift and transport packages or materials weighing up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Answer incoming calls using our multi-line telephone switchboard, determining the purpose of each call and connecting callers with the appropriate department or employee.
Provide accurate and helpful information to callers and visitors, including company locations, directions, website information, fax numbers, and other general information.
Greet and assist customers, visitors, contractors, vendors, and suppliers in a friendly and professional manner.
Follow company security procedures by monitoring access to the reception area and ensuring visitors, contractors, and vendors properly sign in, display identification badges, are escorted as required, and sign out when leaving.
Open and close the reception area according to established procedures, including operating the switchboard, computer, postage equipment, lights, and securing the area at the end of the day.
Prepare outgoing mail using the digital postage meter and USPS online services.
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, deliveries, industry publications, and newspapers.
Maintain the company's employee telephone extension list and other reception-related records.
Provide administrative support, as needed and with prior approval, including data entry, photocopying, scanning, and other clerical projects.
Assist other departments with small, pre-approved projects that can be completed within the reception area.
Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of Enstrom Candies, our employees, customers, and company information.
