About The Position
George Gee Buick GMC is seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist / Phone Operator to join our team. This position serves as the first point of contact for customers, visitors, and callers, answering and directing phone calls professionally and courteously. The ideal candidate will maintain a welcoming and organized reception area, provide accurate information, and assist with basic administrative tasks, ensuring professionalism and exceptional customer service in all interactions.
Requirements
- Previous receptionist, customer service, administrative, or call-handling experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and email systems
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable attendance and strong attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Have a valid driver's license
- A clean driving record
- Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers, visitors, and callers
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Greet guests and assist with directing them to the appropriate department or team member
- Provide accurate information regarding dealership services and operations
- Maintain a welcoming and organized reception area
- Assist with basic administrative and clerical tasks
- Support dealership departments with customer communication and scheduling needs
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries as needed
- Maintain professionalism and exceptional customer service in all interactions
