Within the context of a client and family centred care model, this position performs a variety of clerical, reception, and typing duties. These include receiving visitors and patients, answering incoming calls, responding to inquiries and requests for release of Radiology report information, preparing and maintaining patient files, inputting patient information into a computerized database system, signing out images, printing or copying Radiology images, collecting and distributing mail, dictation tapes, and reports within the department, and typing non-technical material. The role also involves investigating and correcting computerized patient information using the Radiology and Hospital Information Systems.
