About The Position

This is a full-time position that requires travel to multiple clinic locations to provide coverage when needed. The Reception Specialist is responsible for greeting patients, managing patient information, handling payments, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and other administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of work experience in a clinical setting, or equivalent experience in a customer service role.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Computer literacy, with basic knowledge of MS Office products and general office machines (fax, copier, etc.).
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate team cooperation.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with insurance benefits is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greets customers in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner, providing necessary instruction/directions and informing appropriate department/person of customer’s arrival.
  • Updates patient information, including insurance cards, driver’s licenses, authorizations, and referrals.
  • Administers tablets for completion of personal health information, privacy policies, and financial policies.
  • Collects co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
  • Provides detailed explanations of benefits and financial agreements.
  • Answers phones in a pleasant manner and addresses customer needs promptly.
  • Schedules follow-up appointments as required by physician teams.
  • Enters charges into the computer system.
  • Prints charge tickets and necessary paperwork for the next day's clinic.
  • Balances daily collections with the time of service payment summary report and prepares deposit slips.
  • Carries out appropriate actions related to hold and practice buckets daily.
  • Accepts deliveries, logs them, and distributes them to appropriate parties.
