About The Position

Responsible for the receiving of all medical supplies for the hospital. This role involves unpacking materials, preparing orders for return-to-vendor shipments, recording shipment data, reporting damages and discrepancies, and maintaining logs of all shipments. The position also requires preparing daily production and volume reports to measure productivity and prepare billing charges.

Requirements

• High school Diploma or equivalent
• 0-1 year experience working in a shipping/receiving or professional office environment
• Some knowledge of the job
• Moderate understanding of general job aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job
• Knowledge & application of domestic and international shipping carriers, customs, duties and shipping regulations as well as internal tools used (e.g., scanning equipment, hot-synching of scanners, internal database tracking system, dollies and carts)
• Excellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance are a must
• Ability to work overtime & meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Receive and unpack materials and supplies against purchase orders (PO’s) for delivery
• Prepare orders for return-to-vendor shipment
• Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability
• Report damages and discrepancies to request reimbursement or re-shipment
• Maintain logs of all shipments outgoing and incoming
• Prepare daily production and volume reports in order to measure productivity and prepare billing charges
