About The Position

The Shipping Department is responsible to ensure all products delivered to the department are ready to ship. If there are any doubts about quality the employee should bring it to the attention of the Supervisor. It is the departments responsibility to paint all repair products professional and consistently. Parts should be completely dry before wrapping for shipping with no runs or unpainted spots. This will require the employee to be proactive and be aware of shipment schedules and timelines for delivery. This position is responsible for cosmetics quality inspection and neat and professional packaging of goods to ship.

Requirements

Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes
Excellent computer skills
Excellent communication both verbal and written
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in shipping and receiving
Ability to lift 75 lbs
Self-motivated
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Ability to work in all weather conditions as needed
Dependable and flexible

Responsibilities

Paint, inspect, and package all cylinders and parts for jobs to be shipped for proper specifications
Know how to use the shipments list to have parts ready to load on trucks
Know which trucks go to which routes
Ability to operate forklifts
Load and unload trucks
Maintain oil in forklifts
Clean parts for repair
Move parts throughout the facility as directed
Help other team members as assigned in other areas when needed
Perform job as accurately and efficiently as possible
Keep the paint booth clean and organized every day
Monitor paint inventory and make order recommendation
Keep area neat and clean
Practice safety always
Cross training in assembly department, this will be acquired when possible
Verify all parts are stamped with the assigned job number before shipping to customers
