The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of warehouse associates through organizing, planning, delegating, coaching, and leading. This role involves training and evaluating associates, communicating and enforcing service standards, coaching, retraining, administering discipline, and assisting with annual performance appraisals. The supervisor will also assist with interviews for new staff, resolve payroll discrepancies, schedule employees, review Profit and Loss statements, adhere to the budget, and order warehouse supplies. Key responsibilities include monitoring and enforcing safety procedures, maintaining warehouse security, ensuring timely receipt and processing of products, inspecting merchandise for damages, verifying received items against purchase orders and packing lists, resolving discrepancies, filing claims with vendors, ensuring merchandise delivery to stores, communicating shortages, preparing products for shipment, establishing rapport with departments, guests, vendors, and delivery personnel, conducting inventories, working with buyers to review product details, monitoring ship and cancel dates, maintaining warehouse equipment, and monitoring product rotation.
