About The Position

The Bartender position at Harrah's Gulf Coast is a full-time role responsible for providing excellent guest service, preparing and serving drinks, managing bar inventory, and maintaining a clean and welcoming bar environment. This role requires a high level of customer interaction, including providing information about property events and promotions, and handling cash transactions accurately. The bartender is also expected to contribute to the overall guest experience through entertainment pouring and maintaining a pleasant demeanor.

Requirements

Two years previous experience as a bartender is required.
Must have dexterity and capability to learn entertainment pouring.
Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.
Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
Must adhere to uniform requirements.
Must be 21 years of age.
Must be able to work any day, any shift.
Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.
Must be willing to participate in on-going training in the beverage field.
Must have knowledge of current property events, promotions, and attractions.

Nice To Haves

High school degree or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greets and welcomes all guests in a pleasant and professional manner.
Prepares and stocks supplies and items necessary for guest consumption.
Completes daily, weekly, and monthly checklists.
Prepares and pours all types of drinks for customers and cocktail servers upon request.
Stocks the bar and maintains par levels.
Serves food to bar patrons.
Provides entertainment for guests through entertainment pouring.
Provides customers with property information on current events, promotions, and attractions.
Processes all cash transactions by accepting money, making necessary change accurately, and presenting customers with bar receipts.
Meets attendance guidelines and adheres to departmental and company policies.
Cleans bar area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators, and other bar appliances.
Other duties as assigned by managers/supervisor.
