About The Position

The Receiving Quality Assurance Specialist signs off on incoming merchandise shipments in the warehouse. The role inspects merchandise to verify that the shipment matches what was ordered and that products are in good condition. After inspection, the employee records the shipment as received in the Warehouse Management system, which allows B&H to release payment to the vendor.

Requirements

Two years of pallet processing experience.
Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to resolve pallet math, with strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Strong computer knowledge.
Ability to operate a hand scanner to enter data into a Warehouse Management system.

Responsibilities

Inspect received merchandise for damage, determine product condition through problem solving, and reconcile warehouse order slips.
Determine which barcode to use when products have multiple barcodes and identify each barcode’s purpose.
Process shipments that do not reconcile against orders.
Enter the weight and dimensions of new products into the computer system.
Ensure quality testing takes place at all times in the warehouse.
Document vendor complaints, including missing packing slips or barcodes.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
