About The Position
The Receiving Inventory Specialist is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming product shipments and keeping inventory records up to date. The role is onsite in Indianapolis, Indiana, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., frequent overtime, and occasional Saturday hours. The stated pay range is $18.00–$20.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in inventory management, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inventory tracking.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and software applications.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and safely operate material handling equipment.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Verify that all items are accounted for and match purchase orders.
- Document and report discrepancies, damages, or quality issues.
- Organize and store inventory in designated areas according to company standards.
- Update inventory management systems and databases promptly and accurately.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate inventory flow.
- Assist with regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
