About The Position

The Receiving Inspector is responsible for the daily Inspection of parts and materials to ensure the highest standards prior to being installed on Breeze Aircraft. They will report to the Manager, Quality Control and support the overall Receiving Inspection Process to ensure compliance with company maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent educational achievement
  • 4+ years relevant experience
  • 1+ year experience with Aircraft Materials
  • 1+ year of parts and material handling or processing experience with a commercial airline
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to adhere to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.), and Company policies, procedures, and risk controls
  • Understanding and working knowledge of FAR part 43, 65, 91, 121, and 145
  • Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be flexible and willing to work, days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed
  • Must be able and willing to travel to other Breeze Bases as needed
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be able to handle high-stress situations
  • Ability to work with fellow Team Members with a variety of personalities
  • Ability to multi-task easily
  • Must be fluent in English

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Maintenance & Engineering database (e.g. TRAX)
  • 1+ year of previous receiving inspection experience
  • Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiar with identifying Hazmat Classes and handling regulations
  • Familiar with Federal Aviation Regulations of aircraft parts and airworthiness

Responsibilities

  • Perform general visual inspection with attention to criteria to indicate possible Suspected Unapproved Parts (SUP) condition
  • Ensure parts are received with the proper supporting documentation
  • Certify parts are from an approved source and for use on Breeze aircraft
  • Determine if all parts and materials are serviceable or unserviceable per the requirements of the General Maintenance Manual and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by the Materials Manager
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence
