About The Position

The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all incoming materials, supplies, and purchased components to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient receipt into the facility. This position verifies shipments, maintains inventory accuracy, coordinates with Purchasing, Production, and Quality, and ensures all receiving activities comply with company procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Speak, read, and write English.
  • Successfully pass drug screen.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a certified forklift operator.
  • Maintain a professional image for Customers, Vendors, potential Employees, and visitors.
  • Have a Driver’s License, acceptable driving record, and be able to safely operate a vehicle.
  • Ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, and draw a valid conclusion.
  • Mechanically inclined with a precise attention to detail and organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Ability to use the latest technology/software provided by Company.
  • Have solid written and verbal communication skills that can practiced at all levels of the organization.
  • Understand company Quality Policy and AS9100/ISO 9001 fundamentals.
  • Ability to adhere to all OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work with deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading.
  • Coordinate unloading of incoming deliveries while ensuring safe material handling practices.
  • Identify and report discrepancies including shortages, overages, damaged materials, or incorrect shipments.
  • Enter receiving transactions into the ERP system accurately and promptly.
  • Label and identify materials according to company procedures.
  • Coordinate with Quality to ensure incoming inspection requirements are completed when necessary.
  • Deliver received materials to the appropriate warehouse or production locations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory cycle counts.
  • Communicate receiving issues with Purchasing, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices are followed where applicable.
  • Organize and maintain receiving docks and storage areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Coordinate returns of damaged or nonconforming materials.
  • Maintain shipping and receiving documentation in accordance with company record retention requirements.
  • Assist with physical inventory and inventory audits.
  • Follow all company safety policies, ISO 9001 procedures, and work instructions.
  • Assist with receiving and material handler activities as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse and receiving processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
