About The Position

Corning is a world leader in glass, ceramic, and materials science, known for its innovation. The Optical Communications segment has evolved into a comprehensive provider of optical solutions. This segment is divided into carrier network and enterprise network product groups. We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Receiving Coordinator to support inbound warehouse operations. This role ensures accurate receipt, inspection, documentation, and system processing of incoming shipments. The coordinator will work closely with warehouse staff, vendors, procurement, inventory control, and shipping teams to maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, receiving, or a related field
  • Experience with SAP or another ERP system strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or technical degree preferred
  • Experience with SAP WM or MM modules
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety practices
  • Familiarity with barcode scanners or automated inventory systems

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders and shipping documentation
  • Process goods receipts and maintain inventory records in SAP
  • Complete and organize receiving paperwork, including bills of lading, packing slips, and invoices
  • Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials; coordinate returns, replacements, and vendor credits
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory updates in SAP
  • Process Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) for finished goods
  • Prepare routine receiving and inventory reports in SAP
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support process improvements to enhance receiving efficiency
