About The Position

The Receiving Clerk verifies and records incoming shipments. Day-to-day duties include receiving, unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming merchandise or material. The position is with Sunshine Avionics LLC, a Miramar, Florida provider of avionics component repair and manufacturing services and a HEICO Avionics company.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One year of prior quality experience in a similar work environment.
• Comfort learning new computer applications and programs.
• Be well-organized, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Maintain dependable attendance.
• Show initiative in learning and changing work methods to complete assigned tasks on time.
• Be fluent in English and able to read and write it; understand documents such as emails, reports, and correspondence; and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Moderate computer knowledge, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to use mathematics to solve problems.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions using common sense, solve problems, and provide solutions.
• Strong organizational skills, close attention to detail, and ability to multitask and prioritize with minimal supervisory direction.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Willingness to work hard and long hours when needed; availability for overtime and some Saturdays as needed.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including lifting or moving up to 75 pounds and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Examine shipment contents and compare them with manifests, invoices, orders, or other records to verify accuracy.
• Record shipment data, including weight, charges, space availability, damages, and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping.
• Deliver or route materials to the appropriate departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
