About The Position

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for auditing deliveries and materials to ensure timely and accurate processing and delivery. This role involves utilizing email for communication, driving a box truck as needed, and managing the receiving process from shipment inspection to inventory control. The clerk will maintain accurate records, store and deliver items, and ensure inventory accuracy. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to operate forklifts and other equipment, and adherence to safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as Receiving Specialist (1-3 years)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • MRP/ ERP experience required (Visual preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic math fundamentals
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs. + as needed.
  • Sustained periods of standing, walking, sitting, bending and kneeling
  • Flexibility in work schedule as the business demands

Responsibilities

  • Audits deliveries and materials to insure timely and accurate processing/ delivery.
  • Utilizes email to communicate.
  • Drives box truck to and from the warehouse as needed.
  • Receives shipments and signs receipt upon delivery.
  • Unloads and inspects delivered shipments.
  • Loads orders going to the warehouse.
  • Verifies packages according to orders and invoices (quantity, quality, pricing, etc.).
  • Responsible for returning unsatisfactory shipments or coordinates deliveries for receiving replacements and beginning RMA process.
  • Maintains accurate records and assists with inventory control.
  • Stores, delivers, and shelves delivery items/ plant materials as necessary and maintains the yard organization.
  • Records receiving data in ERP (Visual).
  • Follows up on shipping delays when necessary.
  • Indicates and flags incorrect items or purchase order discrepancies.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors, and managers.
  • Performs daily cycle counts and audits – using excel to track totals and location of material.
  • Tracks material movement between departments.
  • Manages inventory accuracy and reports inconsistencies to management.
  • Maintains working relationships with delivery personnel.
  • Operates standing forklift, sitting forklift, cherry picker, or pallet jack.
  • Other duties as required.
