About The Position

PL Developments, also known as PLD, is a leading manufacturer, packager, and distributor of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products and consumer healthcare goods. As a Receiving Clerk, the employee will be responsible for coordinating and managing the shipment of goods from the warehouse to customers or other facilities. The job involves organizing and overseeing the delivery of goods, ensuring that they are properly packed, labeled, and delivered on time.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 2+ years internal and/or 3 years external warehouse required
  • Inventory experience preferred
  • Must be able to operate a single, deep reach truck, counter-balanced forklift, and rider
  • Must be able to operate Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent math, analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • Demonstrates reliability and responsibility
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work effectively individually and/or a part of a team
  • Able to produce a high volume of work and with minimal errors

Responsibilities

  • Operate a handheld according to WMS manual to perform the core tasks of sales order picking, work order picking, and purchase order receiving (as applicable per site)
  • Utilize Oracle desktop forms
  • Schedule intercompany, outbound, and/or inbound shipments
  • Complete shipping tasks such as replenishment, consolidation, checking, running pallets, loading, and any other shipping related tasks
  • Complete receiving tasks such as unloading, cycle counts, putaways, and any other receiving and/or inventory related tasks
  • Coordinate all carrier deliveries via email and/or phone
  • Properly sign any receiving documents at the time of receipt
  • Verify that all deliveries are compliant with current inbound routing guide
  • Verify that proper documentation such as: Bill of Lading, Certificate of Analysis, Certificate of Compliance, Packing Slip are present and accurate at time of delivery
  • Enter receipts in system and alert necessary parties for over shipments, discrepant material, mismatched packlist, and damages
  • Complete Inbound/Outbound inspection form
  • Research items with discrepancies in the packlist, bill of lading, and/or purchase order
  • Label all incoming materials with an LPN and/or Material ID as needed
  • Prepare received material for putaways
  • Maintain and manage receiving records
  • Sign in for incoming packages and contact other departments for packages that pertain to them
  • Direct others in preparing outgoing shipments
  • Verify that work is accurate and complete and report any discrepancies with your assigned tasks to management as needed
  • Report damage of product, storage racks, forklifts, warehouse equipment, or any unsafe condition to management immediately
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
  • Follow all cGMP guidelines and all SOPs/WIs
  • Verify safety inspection sheet and/or iWarehouse checklist has been completed before operating a forklift
  • Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner to retrieve or store material
  • Always maintain work area clean, orderly and inspection ready. This includes but is not limited to emptying trash cans, trash bins, sweeping, mopping, dusting racks, cleaning dock doors and other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers
