Material Handler (Receiving), 1st Shift

We have an opportunity for a Receiving Material Handler to join our Moorpark, CA team. In this role, you will support operations by receiving incoming materials, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining efficient material flow throughout the facility.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling environment
- Hands‑on experience operating forklifts or similar material handling equipment
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems, scanners, or SAP/ERP software
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, and material documentation
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to safety
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist consistently throughout shift.
- Steel-toed footwear is required.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts (FIFO, material flow) preferred
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against purchase orders and delivery documentation for accuracy
- Unload, transport, and stage materials using forklifts and material handling equipment
- Perform system transactions using ERP/MRP systems, scanners, and receiving documentation to maintain inventory accuracy
- Label, organize, and store materials in designated locations following FIFO and standard material flow processes
- Identify and escalate discrepancies, damaged materials, or shortages to appropriate teams
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area in compliance with company safety standards
