About The Position

The Receiving Associate performs work in the store’s Receiving area, including merchandise stocking, inventory control, pricing, and returns. The role supports a pleasant and productive customer experience while keeping the Receiving area clean, neat, safe, and arranged according to Corporate Office standards. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to move, lift, and carry objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally objects weighing 100 pounds or more.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods and repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, and similar structures.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant, productive shopping experience for customers.
• Unload trucks, stock merchandise, ticket merchandise, and process returns.
• Maintain the Receiving area layout as set by the Corporate Office.
• Interact with associates in a friendly, positive, and professional manner.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and safe.
• Follow Company policies and procedures.
• Remain knowledgeable about advertised sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Use established procedures and occasional independent judgment to complete work assignments; make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.
