About The Position

The Receiving Associate receives furniture into the distribution center efficiently and without damage. The role involves labeling products, verifying SKUs and product information for barcode accuracy, and reducing inventory variances to support the Operations Department. This position is based in Plant City and reports to the Operations Manager. The starting base hourly rate is $19.00, with tenure-based increases up to $20.50 per hour.

Requirements

Complete a pre-employment drug test, background check, and physical ability test.
No high school diploma is required.
Demonstrate customer orientation, effective verbal and written communication, relationship management, receptivity to change, and teamwork.
Be available to work 40 hours per week within the hours of 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, including weekends.
Meet the physical requirements of lifting 75 pounds or more, working at heights, bending, and prolonged standing and walking.
Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, and Google Suite applications such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
No certifications are required.

Nice To Haves

Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is preferred but not required.
Experience with WMS – High Jump is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Unload products using proper material-handling techniques and equipment to minimize damage and prevent personal injury.
Attach labels to products and verify SKUs and product information to ensure barcode accuracy and reduce inventory variances.
Verify purchase orders to confirm the accuracy of products received.
Examine products for damage, notify Supervisors of damaged products, and document reasons for damage.
Operate order pickers and tuggers safely.
Stage products in accurate zones and use proper handling techniques to minimize damage.
