About The Position

Receiving Area Specialist at Stauffers of Kissel Hill, a local and family-owned company that values teamwork, respect, integrity, commitment, and service. This is a full-time position requiring availability from 4 am to 12 pm, five days a week between Monday and Saturday, with Thursday, Friday, and Saturday being mandatory. Requirements

Employee must be at least 18 years of age.
Employee must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

Checks vendors into and out of the store, handling product according to department guidelines.
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Coordinates food returns to vendors for credit.
Notifies department managers of merchandise arrival and routes/delivers vendor freight to correct departments.
Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shippers to rectify damages and shortages.
Communicates rejections, shortages, etc., to department and GM teams.
Cleans department area, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and display cases, keeping products and supplies well organized.
Maintains good communication with the scan department to ensure proper pricing and signage.
Operates equipment, if needed.
