About The Position

The Receiver is responsible for receiving and organizing materials accurately. This includes loading and unloading trucks, pulling materials for production lines, and staging items so they are ready for use. The role also involves entering information into the computer system, putting materials away in the correct locations, and maintaining inventory accurately by taking part in counts and investigating differences. The Receiver will also help improve shipping and receiving processes when possible. This is a critical role that combines physical work, accuracy, and system use to maintain manufacturing processes running smoothly. This will give you experience working in inventory and process improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • Requires frequent lifting, bending, and operation of heavy industrial mechanical equipment, such as forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to use both hands constantly and work in adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours a day with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Possible exposure to radiation through the use of a XRF device for scanning material.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in receiving
  • Expert level on excel and using inventory softwares (MRP system)

Responsibilities

  • Receive materials from delivery trucks, acquire signatures, verify quantities with purchase order, unpack the materials, inspect incoming material for non-conformance
  • Inspect the conditions and verifies the quantities of packages being delivered prior to accepting and signing receipt of shipment
  • Indicate damages and quantity variances on shipping documents prior to accepting shipment and notify leader of damages and variances immediately
  • Generate receiving documents from the computer system and reconcile the receiving documents to the packaging lists
  • Indicate number of items received on the receiving document and enters quantity of items received into the computer system.
  • Receive all items into the computer system on the same day of delivery.
  • Navigate and use MFG Pro computer system to verify and upload purchase orders and inventory levels
  • Understand quality control functions associated with material certification of conformance
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of area (5S+)
  • Effectively communicate with our external suppliers addressing issues associated with required paperwork and inspection reports
  • Interact with interact with different carrier such as FedEx, UPS, DHL.
  • Data Entry in computer and mobile device
  • Train new and existing employees
  • Assist in other departments when needed
