About The Position

As a part-time Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, moving products to the sales floor, preparing pallets, verifying deliveries, and maintaining an organized backroom and workspace. You may assist customers with locating or loading products and are expected to provide friendly, professional service to customers and teammates. The work is physical and fast-paced, with most shifts spent on your feet. Scheduling may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight hours depending on store needs. Associates must follow safe lifting practices and procedures for equipment and hazardous materials. Work conditions can include indoor and outdoor environments, varying climates, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Single lifts are limited to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used when required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. For Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders using the Orders App, safely loading orders, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness best practices. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
Follow safe lifting practices; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, with team lifts used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Nice To Haves

Three months of experience operating forklifts or other powered equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Bilingual, military, and veteran candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Provide SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering project support.
Unload freight and stock merchandise by down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
Assist customers with locating or loading products.
Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders safely and accurately, rotate orders by delivery date, resolve order issues, communicate with customers about delivery satisfaction, and follow Delivery Readiness best practices.
