About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and preparing your work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. Depending on store needs, schedules may include morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight hours. Associates are also expected to help customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. The work includes unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, down-stocking, organizing shelves, setting up pallets, verifying deliveries, and preparing the dock. Associates maintain a clean, safe workspace; use equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scanners, Zebra phones, and balers; and may assist customers in locating or loading products. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders in the Orders App, loading orders safely and accurately, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices. The role may involve working both indoors and outdoors in varied weather, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. Associates may also encounter constant or intermittent noise and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting practices vary by role, weight, and volume; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed, and powered equipment should be used when required by trained associates or with assistance from a trained coworker. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support of nearby stores.
