Part Time - Receiver/Stocker - Flexible
About The Position
As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. You unload deliveries, handle equipment and hazardous materials safely, and prepare your work area for daily operations. The role is physical and fast-paced, involves spending most of the shift on your feet, and may include morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight hours depending on store needs. You may also help customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. Daily work includes unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, organizing backrooms, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. You may assist customers in locating or loading products. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading delivery orders, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
- Follow safe lifting practices; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, and team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
- Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Nice To Haves
- Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
- Bilingual, military, or veteran background.
Responsibilities
- Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
- Unload freight, down-stock, organize shelves, stock merchandise, and set up pallets.
- Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to support store operations.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
- Operate store equipment including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
- Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, proactively communicate with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction and execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
