About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role involves unloading deliveries, safely handling equipment and hazardous materials, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. Work hours may be in the morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight depending on store needs. You may also assist customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. Responsibilities include unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, stocking and organizing merchandise, verifying deliveries, preparing the dock, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. The role uses equipment and tools such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scanners, Zebra phones, and balers. Additional responsibilities at Pro Fulfillment Stores include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders in the Orders App, safely loading orders, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices. The position does not require regular travel, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Working conditions may include indoor and outdoor environments and exposure to varying or extreme weather, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment must be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement if applicable.
Follow safe lifting practices and applicable lifting limits.
Use powered equipment with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Maintain a friendly, professional attitude when assisting customers and teammates.

Nice To Haves

Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Bilingual ability.
Military or veteran experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
Unload freight, down-stock merchandise, organize shelves, and set up pallets.
Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Maintain a clean, safe environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
Complete other assigned tasks as a team player.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
Load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
Proactively communicate with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
Execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
Occasionally travel for meetings, training sessions, or to support nearby stores, if needed.
