Part Time - Receiver/Stocker - Flexible
About The Position
As a part-time Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, organized, and ready for customers. You accurately receive freight, unload deliveries, stock shelves, move products to the sales floor, organize merchandise and top stock, and prepare your work area for daily operations. The work is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. Depending on store needs, shifts may be in the morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight. You also assist customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. The role involves following safety procedures when handling equipment and hazardous materials, maintaining a clean workspace, and using safe lifting practices. In Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking, staging, and loading Flatbed Delivery orders, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving order issues, communicating with customers, and following Delivery Readiness practices. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement where applicable.
- Follow safe lifting practices; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, with team lifts used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
- Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Nice To Haves
- Three months of experience operating forklifts or powered equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
- Bilingual, military, and veteran candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers, answer questions, and offer support during projects using SMART customer service.
- Unload freight, stock merchandise, down-stock products, organize shelves, and set up pallets.
- Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to support store operations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
- Operate store equipment such as scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
- Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- Load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
- Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
- Communicate proactively with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
- Execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
