About The Position

As a part-time Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. You unload deliveries, handle equipment and hazardous materials safely, and prepare your area for daily operations. The role is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. Depending on store needs, shifts may occur in the morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight. You may also help customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. Responsibilities may include assisting customers in locating or loading products, receiving and verifying deliveries, unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, stocking and organizing merchandise, preparing pallets and docks, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, responsibilities also include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading and rotating orders, resolving customer order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices. The work environment may include indoor and outdoor conditions and exposure to extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. Associates may also encounter noise and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods vary by role, weight, and volume; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, with team lifts used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment must be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or nearby-store support.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
Follow safe lifting practices; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, with team lifts used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Nice To Haves

Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Bilingual, military, or veteran experience and backgrounds are encouraged.

Responsibilities

Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering project support.
Unload freight, stock merchandise, down-stock products, organize shelves, and set up pallets.
Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and move products to the sales floor.
Use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, following safe operating procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe environment, including proper handling of hazardous materials and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
Assist customers in locating or loading products.
Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
Load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
Proactively communicate with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
Execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
