Part Time - Receiver/Stocker - Flexible
About The Position
As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and preparing your work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. Work hours may be in the morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight depending on store needs. Associates also assist customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. You will unload freight, move products to the sales floor, maintain organized backrooms and stocked shelves, verify deliveries, prepare the dock, and maintain a clean and safe workspace. You may also assist customers in locating or loading products. In Pro Fulfillment Stores, the role additionally involves picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading them accurately and safely, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices. The role does not require regular travel, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Working conditions may include indoor and outdoor environments, varying climates, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used when required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Responsibilities
- Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
- Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
- Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
- Operate store equipment including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
- Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders with attention to quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, proactively communicate with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
