About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role involves unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, moving products to the sales floor, and preparing work areas for daily operations. You may also assist customers with finding or loading products and support additional assigned tasks. The job is physical and fast-paced. Associates spend most of their shift on their feet and must use safe lifting practices and attention to detail. Work may take place indoors or outdoors in varying weather and climate conditions, with possible exposure to noise and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Scheduling may include morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight hours depending on store needs. Regular travel is not required, although occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders accurately and safely, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
Follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; use team lifts minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Work in varying inside and outside conditions, which may include extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment.

Nice To Haves

3 months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
6 months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Bilingual, military, or veteran talent is encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, and balers, as needed.
Complete other assigned tasks as a team player.
