As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and preparing your work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. Work hours may be in the morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight depending on store needs. Associates also help customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. The position supports store operations by unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, maintaining organized backrooms, and keeping the workspace clean and safe. Associates may use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, as well as scanners, Zebra phones, and balers. In Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging flatbed delivery orders, loading orders safely and accurately, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices. The role does not require regular travel, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor environments, extreme heat or cold, wet or damp conditions, humidity, wind, drafts, noise, and moving or shaking equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally beginning at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment must be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
