About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight accurately, stocking shelves, organizing merchandise and top stock, and preparing your work area for daily operations. The role is physical and fast-paced, requiring safe lifting practices, attention to detail, and time spent mostly on your feet. Shifts may include morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight hours depending on store needs. You may also assist customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. The position involves unloading deliveries, moving products to the sales floor, down-stocking and organizing shelves, verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and using equipment and tools as needed. Associates follow procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping. Additional duties in Pro Fulfillment Stores include picking, staging, and loading delivery orders and supporting customer delivery satisfaction. The role does not require regular travel, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Working conditions can include indoor and outdoor environments, changing or extreme weather, noise, and moving or shaking equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment is used as required, with proper training or help from a trained coworker.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
Follow safe lifting practices and lift no more than 75 pounds in a single lift; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
Use powered equipment only as required and with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Nice To Haves

3 months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
6 months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.

Responsibilities

Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering project support.
Unload freight, stock merchandise, down-stock products, organize shelves, and set up pallets.
Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
Assist customers in locating or loading products when needed.
Complete other assigned tasks as a team player.
In Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
Load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
Communicate proactively with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
Execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
